GENERAL SERVICES
What services do you offer?
We provide legal document preparation, notary, and process serving services in Los Angeles County. Our services include assistance with family law, civil matters, small claims, estate planning, business filings, probate, and landlord-tenant documents. We also offer mobile notary services and professional process serving for legal documents.
Are you an attorney?
No, we are not attorneys and cannot provide legal advice or representation. We are Legal Document Assistants (LDAs), authorized under California law to assist self-represented individuals with preparing legal documents.
What is a Legal Document Assistant (LDA)?
An LDA is a registered and bonded professional who assists individuals with completing legal documents. LDAs do not provide legal advice or representation, but we help ensure documents are properly prepared for filing.
Are you licensed or registered?
Yes, we are registered and bonded in accordance with California Business and Professions Code Section 6400.
LEGAL DOCUMENT PREPARATION
What types of documents can you help prepare?
We can assist with family law documents including divorce, child custody, and support modifications; civil legal documents such as complaints, responses, and discovery; business formation documents like LLC formation and operating agreements; estate planning documents including wills, trusts, and powers of attorney; probate and guardianship petitions; landlord-tenant documents such as notices to vacate and unlawful detainers; small claims court forms such as complaints, responses, and demand letters.
Can you guarantee that my documents will be accepted by the court?
We strive to ensure all documents meet procedural requirements, but final acceptance is at the court’s discretion. We recommend reviewing all documents carefully before filing.
What if I don’t know which forms I need?
While we cannot recommend specific legal forms, we can explain their purpose so you can choose the appropriate ones. If you’re unsure, consulting an attorney is recommended.
Do you offer filing services?
Yes, we can file your documents with the appropriate court or agency for an administrative fee of $10 plus any required filing fees.
Do you provide consultations?
We offer consultations for procedural guidance only. We can help you understand document filing procedures, but we cannot provide legal advice. Consultation fee: $50 per 30 minutes.
PROCESS SERVING
What is process serving?
Process serving is the legal delivery of court documents to the opposing party in a lawsuit or legal proceeding. This ensures that the recipient is notified and has the opportunity to respond in court.
What types of documents do you serve?
We serve summons and complaints, subpoenas, small claims documents, eviction notices (3-day, 30-day, 60-day), restraining orders, family law documents, garnishments, wage assignments, and other court filings and legal notices.
What process serving options do you offer?
We offer standard service with the first attempt within 3-5 business days (up to 3 attempts), rush service with the first attempt within 24-48 hours, same-day service if received before 12 PM, stakeout service for difficult-to-serve individuals ($75/hour, 2-hour minimum), and nationwide service through our trusted affiliates.
What are your process serving fees?
Standard service is $75 per address for the first attempt within 3-5 business days, rush service is $100 for the first attempt within 24-48 hours, same-day service is $150 if received before 12 PM, stakeout service is $75 per hour with a 2-hour minimum, additional defendant at the same address is $40, and a bad address or not found fee is $40. Special handling for gated communities, secured buildings, or extra coordination is $25.
How many attempts do you make?
Each standard service includes up to 3 attempts at different times/days. Additional attempts may be arranged for an extra fee.
Do you provide proof of service?
Yes, we provide a Proof of Service document after a successful serve, which can be filed with the court.
What if the person refuses to accept the documents?
As long as the recipient is properly identified, we can conduct substituted service or drop service, as allowed by law.
Do you offer process serving outside of Los Angeles County?
Our primary service area is Los Angeles County, but we can coordinate serves nationwide through trusted affiliates.
NOTARY SERVICES
What documents can you notarize?
We notarize acknowledgments, jurats, real estate documents (deeds, mortgages), power of attorney forms, trust documents, advance health care directives, affidavits, and declarations.
How much do you charge for notary services?
Our notarization fee is $15 per signature as mandated by California law. Mobile notary travel fees are $50 within 15 miles and $75 for locations 16–30 miles.
Can you notarize a document you prepared?
No, California law prohibits an LDA from notarizing documents they have prepared.
What do I need to bring to my notary appointment?
You will need the document(s) to be notarized, a valid government-issued photo ID, and any required witnesses.
Can you notarize documents written in another language?
Yes, as long as the notarial certificate is in English and the signer understands the document.

What forms of payment do you accept?
We accept cash, credit/debit cards, PayPal, Venmo, and Zelle. Payment is due at the time of service.
Are filing fees included in your prices?
No, filing fees are separate and vary by court or agency.'
Do you offer refunds?
Due to the nature of our services, refunds are not available once work has begun. However, we will work with you to resolve any concerns.
Can you refer me to an attorney?
Yes, while we cannot provide legal advice, we maintain a network of trusted attorneys and can provide referrals based on your needs.
